An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Group Accountant to join a fast-growing, well-backed organisation. What you’ll do:
As a Group Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the financial operations of a rapidly expanding organisation. You will be instrumental in preparing both single entity and consolidated statutory accounts under FRS 101. Your expertise will be crucial in documenting and standardising accounting policies across various divisions, ensuring consistency throughout. You will also play a key role in implementing new processes and policies that align with accounting standards. Your responsibilities will extend to assisting with quarterly reviews and yearly audits, liaising with tax advisors, providing technical accounting advice, producing high-level management information for executive meetings, and preparing company secretarial documentation.
*Assist with preparation of Group single entity and consolidated statutory accounts under FRS 101.
*Document and standardise accounting policies across the Group, liaising with three divisional finance departments.
*Implement new processes and policies in line with accounting standards.
*Assist with quarterly reviews and yearly audits.
*Liaise with tax advisors to ensure the Group’s tax position is compliant.
*Provide technical accounting advice following changes in accounting standards or business circumstances.
*Produce high-level management information for executive and board meetings.
*Prepare company secretarial documentation to ensure compliance across the Group.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Group Accountant role is an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified professional with transferable accounting experience. Ideally you will have trained in an accountancy practice, however this isn’t essential. You possess a strong working knowledge of IFRS and have an understanding or experience of audit procedures. Some exposure to group tax would be advantageous. Your strong Excel skills enable you to analyse large volumes of data effectively. Experience using various ERP systems and statutory accounts preparation software is a must. Your excellent communication skills allow you to build strong working relationships across divisions and up to Board level. You have the ability to drive process improvements within a high-growth business.
