Job Description:
Our Business Operational Risk Management team within the Risk Management Group is dedicated to extending and applying non-financial risk expertise across all risk processes managed by Macquarie’s global Line 2 risk function. We ensure the effective embedding of the Risk Management Framework across various divisions, including Market, Credit, Compliance, Financial Crime, Operational, Prudential, Internal Audit, and the Risk Management Group Chief Operating Officer function

As a Business Operational Risk Manager, you will play a crucial role in embedding the risk management framework across the Risk Management Group’s divisions. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the risks inherent as our global Line 2 risk function, advising on and challenging the effectiveness of mitigating controls. Additionally, you will support incident and issue management, partner with wider Risk Management Group divisions to ensure clear understanding of their role in operational risk management, and facilitate risk and control self assessments.

*Experience within non-financial risk, operational risk management, or a similar discipline
*Tertiary education in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
*Strong analytical skills and ability to draw out insights
*Good attention to detail together with excellent organisation & coordination skills
*Exceptional stakeholder management and clear communication skills

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
