Study Skills SpLD - Essex
Are you looking to make a positive impact to the lives of students through an academic mentoring role?
Randstad Student Support is looking for experienced one-on-one Study Skills Support Workers to assist students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) in Essex. Join us in making a difference in their educational journeys!
Starting as soon as possible, this hybrid role requires flexibility for both in-person and online sessions, tailored to student preferences.
As a Specialist Study Skills Support Worker, you’ll provide personalised learning support, including:
*Developing individual learning plans to foster independence
*Building on strengths and effective learning strategies
*Enhancing organisation and time management skills
*Creating action plans to stay on track
*Improving research and comprehension skills
It’s essential to address student needs on a case-by-case basis while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Share relevant information with Randstad to ensure the best service for your students.
Desirable skills include:
Experience of working with clients with specific learning difficulties
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
Punctuality and reliability
Good organisational skills
Relevant professional body memberships
Ability to manage a caseload of students
