Job Description:
Are you an ambitious Management Accountant who wants to work in a growing commercial environment?
Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are excited to be once again partnering with a client based in Wallingford to appoint a Management Accountant. The successful candidate will have a driven attitude with the desire and ambition to learn in order to better their accounting knowledge. In brief, your responsibilities will include:
*Management Reporting: Prepare and present management reports that provide clear and actionable insights into financial performance.
*Budgeting and Forecasting: Work with the FC/FD and the Board to develop, monitor, and update budgets and forecasts in alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
*Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
*Cost Management: Monitor and control costs, ensuring that expenditures align with budgeted amounts and financial objectives.
*Project Reviews: Work with Project teams to conduct post-mortem analysis of revenues and costs on projects versus budgets
*Business Partnering: Work with Regional MDs and Business Unit heads to help them understand their financials and help with local decision making
*Ad Hoc Reporting: Generate and analyse ad hoc financial reports as required, providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes
*Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations, sales, and HR, to support financial decision-making.
*Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
The ideal candidate will be an active ACCA/CIMA studier and have extensive experience as a Management Accountant or similar with a dynamic approach to your workload and an analytical mindset. You will be an excellent communicator, capable of liaising with multiple stakeholders internally and externally. Additionally, you will be systems savvy and be experienced on Excel.
