Hours: - 12 hour shifts 7am - 7pm (4 on 4 off Rota)
Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of their warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods, maintaining a safe working environment, and achieving performance targets. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods, maintaining a safe working environment, and achieving performance targets. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
*Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
*Schedule shifts and assign tasks to team members based on workload and priorities.
*Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to support staff development.
*Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
*Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory control to manage stock levels.
*Implement and maintain warehouse policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
*Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
*Address and resolve any safety incidents or violations promptly.
*Ensure the quality and integrity of incoming and outgoing goods.
*Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory and shipments.
*Implement quality control procedures to minimize errors and defects.
*Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
*Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and execute operational strategies.
*Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology to optimize operations.
*Liaise with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
*Provide regular updates and reports to the Warehouse Manager on team performance, inventory status, and operational issues.
*Address and resolve any team or operational conflicts effectively.
The successful candidate:
You will be a flexible and dedicated team player with an unrivalled ability to communicate at levels, with:
*Valid Forklift truck Licence (Reach, Counterbalance and VNA desirable)
*Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
*Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
*Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
*Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
*Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices.
*Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
