Product Owner | Underwriting | Insurance | £70,000 - £75,000 | Hybrid LondonAbout the Role: We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead and enhance our underwriting systems as part of a strategic technology team. In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of technology roadmaps for underwriting applications, ensuring they are resilient, secure, and support business goals. You will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that drive the scalability, efficiency, and reliability of core business applications, including analytics and policy administration platforms.
Key Responsibilities: *Platform Resilience: Ensure the stability and resilience of all underwriting applications to meet the quality and usability standards for all users.
*Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align underwriting applications with the broader technology strategy, maximizing support for business objectives.
*Innovation and Problem-Solving: Identify and propose solutions to system challenges, managing application roadmaps to address business needs and ensure optimal performance.
*Team Leadership: Inspire and manage a dedicated team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
*Data-Driven Decision Making: Provide strategic insights and management information to key stakeholders to inform project progress, service levels, and key decisions.
About You: To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
*Strategic Vision: Strong analytical skills to guide a technology transformation program for underwriting systems, ensuring responsiveness to evolving business needs.
*Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading teams and effectively communicating product visions and objectives across both internal and external stakeholders.
*Stakeholder Management: Expertise in managing complex stakeholder relationships and prioritizing requirements, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Project Management: Skilled in coordinating with vendors and internal teams, comfortable with both Agile and traditional project methodologies.
*Technical Understanding: Familiarity with digital platforms and marketing tools, experience working within Value Streams, and a strong grasp of Agile principles.
