Staff Product Engineer - London - PHP- Up to £110K
I am very excited to share a new role with a company that is completely revolutionising the healthcare system. They are fixing major problems across outdated and underfunded systems/projects within health. This is the opportunity to continue scaling a platform that will help change lives and save everybody time.
This is a Staff role, so we are interested in seeing someone who not only wants to make an impact but has previously solved complex problems.
You will be someone who is excited to tackle anything and continue to lead the team while the product scales across markets and across billions of users.
Responsibilities:
* Own and develop one or more areas of our product, working in close collaboration with Product Leads and DevOps Engineers
* Address non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and scalability in the design of solutions
* Write well designed code that is covered with appropriate automated tests
* Troubleshoot, debug and fix bugs
* Ensure that their codebase stays up to date, with no legacy components, frameworks or technical debt
* Adhere to and uphold our secure development practices
Requirements:
* STEM degree or equivalent experience in the fundamentals of software engineering
* 7+ years of experience in full stack software development, designing and delivering broad and complex enterprise applications using patterns such as CQRS and those of DDD
* Dealt with difficult non-functional requirements and solved challenging technical problems that require collaboration and changes across the full stack of an application
* Significant experience with PHP and are comfortable with JavaScript and CSS
* Worked extensively with modern web frameworks like Symfony and ORMs like Doctrine
* Utilised databases like PostgreSQL, and understand how to solve the common performance and scalability problems that can arise
*Up to £110,000 salary
*4 day working week (Fridays off)
*4 days a week onsite in London
