Hair & Beauty Receptionist
Hours: 17.5 hours per week / 37 weeks per year (term time only)
Hours Of Work: Monday 2pm to 7pm, Tuesday, 8.30am to 12.45 pm, Wednesday 9 am to 1pm, Thursday 8.30am to 12.45 pm.
Salary: £22,071.09 gross per annum pro rata
Contract Type: Permanent

Based in the Hair and Beauty Department as part of a small team of receptionists, this key role is to manage the smooth running of a very busy Hairdressing and Beauty reception area. You will be required to work closely with students and staff and provide a first-class customer service. You will be responsible for booking clients using a computerised appointment system, receive payments using a computerised till in accordance with audit requirements and financial regulations and updating the client database.
You should be educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant qualification (e.g. customer service, business, marketing) and hold an Assessors award (TAQA, A1). You should also have experience of working in a customer care environment and reception area, handing cash and maintaining accurate records. IT experience such as maintaining client records, online ordering and updating social media software (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) or equivalent knowledge is also essential.
