SEN Supply Teaching Assistant *Location: Huddersfield

About the School Our school caters to children aged 7-16 with a range of special educational needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Praised for its supportive and positive atmosphere, the school holds a ’Good’ rating from Ofsted in all areas. The staff are dedicated to ensuring that every child receives the individual attention and support they need to thrive.
Day-to-Day of the Role *Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in their learning and development.
*Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive learning environment.
*Providing one-on-one support to pupils as needed.
*Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
*Encouraging and promoting positive behaviour.
Required Skills & Qualifications *Experience working with children with SEN in a similar or transferable role.
*Confidence and a proactive approach to supporting children with special needs.
*A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
*A commitment to going above and beyond to support pupils’ needs.
