Job Description:
An established building contractor specializing in high-end residential and heritage restoration projects is looking for an experienced Estimator. You will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a wide range of projects, including new builds, refurbishments, and bespoke restorations.
Key Responsibilities:
*Create detailed and accurate cost estimates, covering labor, materials, and other project-specific needs.
*Work closely with the project management team to ensure alignment on budgets and project timelines.
*Build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating competitive prices and ensuring quality.
*Assess project risks and identify cost-effective solutions.
*Review and analyze tenders to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices.
Ideal Candidate:
*Previous experience in estimating within the construction or restoration sectors.
*Strong knowledge of materials, building techniques, and project management.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
*Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
