Job Description:
Elevation Senior Finance are pleased to working on an exclusive basis with a successful and fast-growing SME in Rotherham as they look to bring in a Finance Manager into the team. The role has come about due to an upcoming retirement next year so the Finance Director is looking to bring in someone new asap to manage a good handover process. The business has exciting growth plans for next year, remains highly-profitable and promotes a friendly supportive work culture.
This role will be based 5 days a week in the office and operates a 40 hour working week, 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

Reporting straight into the Finance Director, this position is an all round Finance Manager role with duties to include: -
*Management of 1 member of staff (Accounts Assistant)
*Production of Monthly Management Accounts including P&L and Balance Sheet
*Balance Sheet Reconciliations
*Budgeting and Forecasting
*Presenting accounts and financial data/ analysis to the Finance Director
*Cost-based sales analysis
*Seeking ways of enhancing cost-saving initiatives and boosting profitability
*Daily bank reconciliations (Multiple accounts)
*Oversight and maintenance of the company’s sales and purchase ledger accounts.
*Preparation and submission of the monthly payroll.
*Completion of the company VAT returns
*Helping external accountants with preparation of annual statutory accounts
*Dealing with external auditors
*Working with colleagues across the business in reviewing and developing business processes and systems
The ideal candidate will ideally have the following skills and experiences: -
*ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA PQ/ Qualified (Qualified by Experience would also be considered)
*Monthly Management Accounts production experience
*Staff management experience
*Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
*Open, honest and strong team worker.
*A positive, can do attitude.
*Experience with stock management (preferred)
*Experience of the import and export of goods
*Strong IT skills
*A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
*Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
