Position: Freight Forwarder
Location: Manchester, UK
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee the import and export of goods from various global locations.
*Coordinate collection with selected transportation providers.
*Work closely with clients, branch offices, international agents, and transport companies to ensure seamless operations.
*Deliver excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and providing regular updates.
*Monitor shipment progress, manage invoicing, and handle pre-alerts from overseas offices and agents.
*Complete Customs entries as required.
*Supervise shipments until final delivery.
*Handle job costing and invoicing processes.
Requirements:
*At least 2 years’ experience in a UK-based freight forwarding company.
*Familiarity with import and export operations, including air, road, or ocean freight.
*In-depth knowledge of customs clearance processes.
*Proficient in freight software like Cargowise, Multifreight, etc.
*Strong customer service skills.
