We are looking for a 1:1 teaching assistant to work assisting a child with ASD who needs extra academic support to start as soon as possible in a school in Darwen. The child has no behavioural issues and this is a great opportunity for someone who would like to gain more experience and build on their CV.

Requirements
*SEN experience, or any experience working with children is fine
*Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to get one)
*Strong work ethic
*Able to adapt to the different needs of the child
*Be able to liaise with parents and other staff
*Good safeguarding knowledge
Responsibilities
*Support the child with additional needs
*Providing support to the child both academically and socially
*Assisting the teacher with the paperwork in keeping track of progress of the child
*Liaising with the class teacher and parents to provide the best support
*Doing 1:1 interventions, mainly maths and english
