Job Description:
Supply Chain Manager
Seeking a talented Supply Chain Manager to join a fast-paced global manufacturer, you will be focusing on supply chain, production planning and purchasing processes with a core objective to drive operational excellence.
The candidate will be a part of the UK Management Team reporting to the Board. You will need to be proactive, analytical and a strategic thinker, and have a global mindset.
Located in Powys, this is an onsite role, Monday to Friday 08:30am – 5:00pm.
Salary is competitive plus company benefits listed.
Responsibilities:
*Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
*You will need strong analytical skills and be able to confidently review and frequently analyse data to provide accurate and timely production and supply forecasting.
*Manage all production planning and associated requirement for the business
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance supplier relationships.
*Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and mitigate risks through the Supply Chain.
*Monitor inventory levels and optimize supply chain efficiency, have knowledge of Customs and Container programs.
*Manage a team of professionals with the designated team
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance.
Qualifications:
*CIPS, or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field or Qualified by experience, minimum 5-10 years’ experience.
*Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management
*Minimum 5 years + with a strategic global mindset.
*Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting supplier partnerships.
*Proficiency in using procurement software, Excel and Inhouse MRP systems.
*Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
*Experience of managing a small purchasing team and can successfully lead and mentor individuals to maximise productivity and cost saving results.
