Description
The role of Shift Manager will involve:
*Overseeing the day-to-day picking and packing of customer orders on the PM shift (2pm-10pm).
*Coordinating and managing staff on shift, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
*Implementing and maintaining operational procedures in line with company policies.
*Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless process flow.
*Monitoring the performance of staff and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
*Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
*Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
*Handling any escalated staff issues that arise during your shift.
Profile
A successful Shift Manager should have:
*Proven experience in a managerial role within the logistics industry (preferably in e-commerce).
*Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively and efficiently.
*A proactive approach and ’can-do’ attitude.
*Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and industry best practices.
*LEAN, Kaizen or 5S experience (advantageous).
*Outstanding problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
*Good communication skills and the ability to handle staff issues professionally.
*A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
