DT Teacher
*Annual Salary: Teacher Pay Scale M1-M6
*Location: Westminster, London
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
*Start Date: April 2025
We are seeking a dedicated DT Teacher for a full-time, permanent position in a supportive SEN school based in Westminster. This role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about Design Technology and committed to enhancing student learning and development.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Plan and teach effective, creative, and varied lessons tailored to the needs of each student, ensuring all are encouraged to reach their full potential in Design Technology.
*Utilise modern technologies such as Google Classroom to make learning current, relevant, and enjoyable.
*Maintain a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere in the classroom, promoting a strong culture for Design Technology.
*Assess students regularly in accordance with departmental and school policies.
*Collaborate with colleagues to review and develop departmental schemes of work and contribute to the advancement of Design Technology within the curriculum and the school.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths (and Science if intending to teach at the primary level).
*A bachelor’s degree in any subject.
*Must possess a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate.
*Experience in or a strong understanding of the unique dynamics of an SEN school environment is advantageous.
*Strong commitment to professional development and willingness to continue learning new skills and teaching methods.
