Job Description:
A leading global law firm requires an exceptional client relationship management specialist to work in partnership with their Managing Relationship Partners, global client teams and the broader partnership to build and deepen client relationships with a selection of the firm’s priority Banking practice clients on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
The successful applicant will be welcomed into the practice business development and marketing team, who are a globally diverse and friendly team focused on driving revenue growth, strengthening reputation and nurturing client relationships. The team works closely with lawyers to create, develop and execute BD and marketing initiatives to deliver the firm’s strategy and works with the business to sell the firm’s expertise to clients and generate revenue for the firm. The work is always varied and you will benefit from significant opportunities for learning and growth in a supportive environment. Working across the firm’s international network and drawing on all available resources across the firm, the purpose of the role is to strengthen client relationships with the ultimate objective of shortening the sales cycle. Acting as the lead ’go-to’ point of contact for effective relationship management and development, the role holder will be responsible for the management of a number of the firm’s priority clients, driving new revenue growth, facilitating the expansion of existing relationships through cross-selling and protecting existing revenue streams by building stronger and deeper relationships, identifying new opportunities and helping partners to win new business. You will be expected to position the firm by defining and promoting the firm’s expertise with key influencers within priority clients in accordance with the firm’s strategy, strategic initiatives and relevant market-driven themes. The Client Relationship Manager will enjoy a broad role supporting all aspects of the client experience framework and account management. This will include the development of client strategy, targeted client planning and objectives and driving execution, managing fee negotiations and assisting with the development of client fee proposals and global panel submissions, the development of services, resourcing and processes and the best practice delivery of focused global relationship development and value-adding account management.
This firm are looking for the brightest talents out there so you will need to have proven knowledge and experience of business development in a professional services or partnership environment, ideally within an international law firm, to include demonstrable success working in a dedicated client account management team. Client service focused and a highly-motivated self-starter with a flexible attitude and willingness to learn, the Client Relationship Manager will require a high degree of commercial acumen and outstanding communication skills in order to liaise effectively at all levels with both partners and clients. An understanding of the banking sector or banking clients will also be highly advantageous.
