Right Now Group are working with a medium-sized Freight Forwarder who are looking to expand their Operations department. They are looking to bring aboard a new Multimodal Operator. This person will ideally have 2+ years within Air and/OR Ocean Freight

As an Air & Ocean Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely importation of goods via air & ocean freight. Your duties will involve coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with international partners.

Job Responsibilities of a Multimodal Coordinator:
*Coordinate and manage shipments via ocean/air freight from origin to destination.
*Arrange bookings with ocean carriers and negotiate air freight rates when necessary.
*Verify accuracy of shipping documents and ensure compliance with import regulations and trade laws.
*Work closely with internal teams such as sales, customer service, and warehousing to meet customer requirements.
*Maintain accurate records of all activities and documentation.

Requirements of a Multimodal Coordinator:
*2+ years within Air AND/OR Ocean Freight
*Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import documentation.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
*Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000
Location - Birmingham
Shift Pattern - Mon-Fri (8.30am-5.00pm)
