Job Description:
We are working with a leading manufacturer of Calibration Instruments used in temperature, pressure, and flow measurement across a variety of industries. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Design Support Engineer to join their Engineering Services team based in Sevenoaks, Kent.
Salary & Benefits: £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experience
Type: Permanent, 4 ½ day working week, Hybrid occasionally
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee the day-to-day manufacture of electronic products, ensuring technical compliance with standards and customer requirements.
*Provide technical support to sales, production, and customers (occasional site visits may be required).
*Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes and cost reduction.
*Design and implement transitions from prototype to production, including test benches for higher volumes.
*Ensure on-time delivery of manufactured transmitters and manage the training of production personnel.
Required Experience:
*Relevant experience in manufacturing, with a focus on electronic products
*BEng in Electrical engineering.
*IET Functional Safety.
*Electronic engineering apprenticeship.
*Educated to A level standard.
*CAD (ideally SolidWorks)
*Knowledge of UKCA, ATEX & PED.
