SEMH Secondary Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) Needed - Guildford (GU5)
Position: Speech and Language Therapist (SALT)
Class Size: 8 - 12 Pupils per class
Location: Guildford, GU5
School: SEMH School
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-Time, 9 AM - 4:00 PM
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Salary: GBP170 - GBP250 per day
About the Role:
Join a dedicated team at an SEMH School in Guildford for 11-16 Year olds needing extra support Academically and Personally. This is a great chance for SALT passionate about SEN education to make a real impact.
Responsibilities include:
· Demonstrate specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and to generate appropriate strategies for caseload management.
· Undertake audits and contributing to research in the provision of treatments.
· Specialist knowledge in the areas of acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
Requirements of a (SALT) Speech and Language Therapist
· Allied Health Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
· Registered with the HCPC and RCSLT
· Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams
· Experience of working with children, young people and adults who have an intellectual disability and/or autism with additional needs (e.g. complex trauma, mental health needs, behaviours of concern)
· Experience of working within school environments
