Job Description:
Butler Rose is working with one of our Automotive clients based in Milton Keynes in their search for a Senior Buyer to join their growing team. This is a contract role and will pay a salary up to £47,000 to the successful candidate.
About the Role:
Our Automotive client is seeking an organised and proactive Procurement Specialist with proven SAP expertise. In this role, you’ll work alongside their large team to secure timely, cost-effective supplies while upholding quality and delivery standards. You will also support the Purchasing Manager in managing strong supplier relationships and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely updates in SAP.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to develop sustainable supply chains.
- Assist with supplier negotiations, contract terms, and adherence to quality and delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supply chain constraints and meet operational targets.
- Monitor supplier performance for delivery and quality, producing monthly forecasts for internal and supplier meetings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and data processing, with knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration and supplier management.
