Job Description:
Do you have what it takes to help young people develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life?
Take your youth work experience to the next level and lead a team that’s giving young people the support they need as they transition to adulthood.
Managing a small team of 4-5 Youth Support Workers and Volunteers, you will plan, deliver and evaluate a range of curriculum-based groupwork projects as well as working one-to-one with vulnerable and at-risk young people aged 11 to 17 to help improve their future prospects.
Part of the role will require you to handle safeguarding issues and health and safety, whilst addressing service users’ needs and helping them overcome the specific challenges they face.
We’re looking for people who have experience of youth work (in a paid or voluntary capacity) and are ready for the next step in their career.
Having good IT, record keeping, organisational and planning skills is crucial for this role, along the ability to forge relationships with a range of partner organisations.
Along with one of the most rewarding roles in HCC Children’s Services, you can expect ongoing training and development and a comprehensive benefits scheme including access to a national pension scheme with generous employer contributions, a whole host of discounts and wellbeing support.
