Payroll Administrator
Salary £26,775 + Employee Benefits
Hybrid Working, minimum 2 days in the office in Hebburn
Maternity Cover - Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2025
Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator with the skills to ensure accurate and seamless payroll services for a diverse workforce?
We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing monthly payroll for various franchises within your remit. The ideal candidate will have a key eye for detail and strong organisational skills, with a collaborative approach to working alongside the wider payroll team. If you enjoy working in a supportive team environment and are committed to ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, this is the role for you.

What you’ll do day to day
*Processing holiday, sick, maternity and paternity leave payments
*Preparation of the monthly payroll for approximately 3,600 employees
*Recording payroll data accurately in the company’s software system
*Assisting with issuing P45s and other necessary tax forms
*Ensuring compliance to policies, procedures, and relevant legislation and governing payroll
*Handling payroll queries, including the calculation and processing of manual payments where required, and ensuring records are maintained
Helpful skills and qualifications
*Previous experience with Payroll is essential
*Proficient in manual payroll calculations
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
*Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines
*Must have hands on, practical approach to tasks
*CIPP Qualification is desirable but not essential
