At Driver Hire Southampton, we are excited to announce an opening for a Trade Counter Assistant position on behalf of our esteemed client. We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of warehouse operations. This is a hands-on role, where you will be assisting customers, processing orders, managing stock, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations on the trade counter.
About this position:
*12-week temp to perm position
*Monday to Friday- no weekends
*8:00am- 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch
*Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients
*Handle client quotation and sales orders
*Warehouse work- picking and packing, stock management etc
*Assisting in completing deliveries to customers when required
*Make outgoing calls to potential new clients
*Apply electrical knowledge to help customers in store and over the phone
What we require from you:
*Full UK driving licence held for minimum of 1 year
*Fantastic customer service and communication skills
*Confident on the phone and computer literate
*Strong negotiation abilities
*Previous background in sales and the electrical industry is beneficial
*Ability to work under pressure effectively and reach sales targets
*Happy to help in the warehouse as well as completing deliveries

*Salary between £27,000-£30,000 (based on experience)
