Job Description:
DK Recruitment are seeking a talented and ACA-qualified Financial Accountant to join a dynamic finance team within an established business based in Exeter. About the Role:
As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role offers the chance to play a key part in the company’s strategic financial planning and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
*Manage general ledger accounting and ensure accuracy in all financial records
*Oversee the preparation of financial reports for senior leadership
*Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting to support business decisions
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
*Assist with tax filings, VAT returns, and other regulatory requirements
*Support external audit processes and provide key documentation
*Lead initiatives for process improvement within the finance department
About You:
*Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified
*Experience: Previous experience in a similar financial accounting role.
*Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience with financial software (ERP systems advantageous)
*Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with an eye for detail and precision
*Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
