Job Description:
H9 Technical Recruitment are hiring for an Engineering & Maintenance Manager to work at our clients EfW plant in Croydon to be responsible for managing and coordinating the maintenance function, including a team of multi skilled technicians, ensuring maximum plant availability with minimal downtime.
Role and Responsibilities:
*Managing and directing a team of mechanical, electrical and C&I technicians to ensure minimum plant downtime and maximum availability
*Planning and executing plant shutdowns/outages
*Managing the departments maintenance budget
*Oversee the management of the maintenance schedule
*Develop and maintain records of plant maintenance including work orders, PPMs and planned and unplanned outages and inspections
*Overseeing on site contractors
*Deputising for the Plant Manager when required
Education and Experience:
*HNC in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally mechanical
*Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance/engineering in a relevant heavy process industry, ideally power generation but industries such as chemical production, aggregate or similar
*Practical understanding of boilers, steam generation, pressure parts and associated equipment
*Experience with managing a team/department budget
*Experience in a management or supervisory level role
*IOSH or NEBOSH would be preferred but isn’t essential
