Job Description:
Broad and exciting role within this growing insurance company. You will work within a small team to provide independent, reasonable, and unbiased assurances to the Senior Management that their Delegated Partners have appropriate systems and controls in place to comply with contractual conditions, regulatory requirements, and market best practices to ensure good customer outcomes.
Assessing all aspects of the delegated partners, monitoring performance in relation to Underwriting, Claims Handling and Compliance by conducting desk based or on-site audits. Planning, testing, and reporting for presentation and sign-off by Head of Delegated Authority Audit.
You will work on a mixture of run off and live business.
You will:
· Effectively plan and co-ordinate either remote or site audits with each Delegated Partner.
· Plan and complete fieldwork to ensure completion of scope for all Delegated Partners.
· Collaborating on the production of bespoke audit reports.
· Recommend enhancements or additions to the Delegated Partners or internal processes and procedures as required.
· Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
· Maintain audit records and databases.
· Working with relationship managers, to close outstanding recommendations following verification of implementation.
· Escalate and report any Delegated Partners contractual breaches and poor practices which could expose the company to regulatory sanctions to the head of DAA.
· Keep up to date on regulatory and industry developments.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
· Strong Insurance experience, personal lines experience is essential, other lines of business knowledge beneficial but not essential.
· Good technical knowledge of either claims, underwriting or insurance accounting.
· Interpretation of Management Information to enable decision making.
· Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
· Understanding of commercial insurance including binding authorities, and FCA
· requirements.
· Must be willing to travel (UK and Europe, expectation of two trips per month out of office can be 8 to 10 days per month)
· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
