Job Description:
Previous experience of managing/Monitoring stock levels?
A good client of ours based in Hoddesdon requires a Purchasing Assistant.
Purchasing Assistant Responsibilities:
*Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
*Research potential vendors.
*Obtain pricing for bespoke / nonstock items.
*Raise purchase orders for both stock and non-stock items.
*Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
*Goods Inwards Process (Physical checking of materials & booking deliveries into the system)
*Physical allocation of product in the warehouse to suit specific customer orders / production batches.
*Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm / change orders / chase delivery of orders.
*Liaise with warehouse staff to make them aware of goods inwards arrival.
*Process warehouse production sheets into the system daily.
*Goods Issuing of orders through the system daily for invoicing purposes.
Required skills:
*Very good attention to detail
*Knowledge on Microsoft Office suite
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Basic IT skills
Desired skills:
*Knowledge of SAP
*Experience within a similar role however, training will be provided.
8:30am - 17:30pm Monday-Friday
