Location: West Yorkshire
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Our client is a leading manufacturing and production company based in West Yorkshire. They are known for their commitment to quality and innovation in the industry. With a strong focus on employee engagement and continuous improvement, they are seeking a highly motivated Shift Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production team on a rotating shift basis. Your key responsibilities will include:
Safety:
Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular safety meetings with the team
Support the development and improvement of safe working practises
Investigate accidents and take appropriate actions
People:
Train and develop the team to enhance their skills and capabilities
Manage staffing and recruitment needs
Conduct performance reviews and address performance issues
Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement
Quality:
Ensure adherence to quality systems and standards
Conduct regular audits to maintain a high level of quality control
Investigate quality issues and implement preventive measures
Participate in ISO and ethical audits
Production:
Monitor production targets and drive efficiency
Collaborate with other departments to deliver high-quality products
Reduce waste and improve equipment downtime
Track and analyse performance data
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience managing a large team in a manufacturing environment
Qualification or experience in team leadership or management
Excellent knowledge of safety procedures
Proficiency in ERP systems
Strong communication skills
Ability to work strategically and reactively
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
IOSH ’Managing Safely’ qualification
Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
