Job Description:
Accounts Assistant - Part time - 24 hours per week
We are looking for an organised and dedicated individual to join an existing Accounting team, fulfilling the role of Accountants Assistant /Finance Administrator. The role will cover a range of tasks including payroll, managing payments, as well as some HR related duties (employment letters, site absence/holiday, timesheets etc).
Skills/Experience required:
Accounting software experience
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
Strong organisational skills
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Ability to manage own workload and also work well within a team
Good interpersonal skills
Good at problem solving
Organisational skills
Good telephone manner (training will be given on the phone system)
Duties would include:
Managing all aspects of monthly company payroll and pension scheme
Managing all aspects of sub contractors invoices and CIS
Managing and processing all outgoing payments including ad hoc requests
Managing all payment runs for suppliers and subcontractors to deadlines
Approving and processing subcontractor invoices
Performing regular bank reconciliations
Paying all utility bills in a timely manner
Processing clocking in data and timesheets to build timesheets for each hourly paid
employee. Self-manage the clocking in systems and resolve any arising issues.
Producing sales invoices for clients and monitor accounts receivable
Monitoring accounts payable ensuring all supplier accounts are balanced and up to
date
Monitoring the Accounting team shared email box and respond to all incoming
email/ telephone queries
