Job Description:
Reed Brighton is excited to be working alongside an established law firm in East Sussex who are seeking a Legal Secretary to join their Private Client Team. This is a fully office based, permanent and full-time position.
The Role:
*Processing audio dictation using BigHand
*Amending documents from manuscript and copy typing of documents
*File opening and closing.
*Drafting routine correspondence including client engagement letters
*Making and taking calls in a professional manner
*Diary management
*Liaising with clients and other third parties
*Preparing bills, management of payments, receipts and transfers, dealing with arising queries and issues
*Create and maintain database Will, EPA and LPA records
*Handling of original Wills/Powers of Attorney
*Maintain Trust permanent folder
*Land Registry and Companies House searches
*File archiving
Skills needed:
The successful candidate will have:
*Previous experience of working as a Secretary in a legal environment
*Fast, accurate typing skills, including audio typing
*Excellent attention to detail
*The ability to follow procedural and legal protocol
*Methodical approach and good time management
*Excellent IT skills
*Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
*Positivity and adaptability
