Job Description:
School Cook *Location: Maidstone
*Salary: £70 a day
*Contract Type: Full-Time
*Start Date: 8.00am - 12.30pm
Join our team where we are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We believe that nutritious meals are crucial for the overall well-being and academic success of our students. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Cook to prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals.
Day-to-day of the role: *Plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for students and staff.
*Ensure all meals meet the dietary needs and preferences of SEN students.
*Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
*Manage food inventory and place orders as needed.
*Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
*Collaborate with school staff to create menus that support the health and well-being of students.
*Accommodate special dietary requirements and allergies.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a school or similar setting.
*Must have an enhanced DBS, or willing to get one.
*Knowledge of dietary needs and nutrition, especially for children with SEN.
*Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
*Excellent organizational and time management skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the well-being of students.
