Job Description:
To be part of the workshop team that manufactures, assembles and checks products required by the Works Instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Be involved with production work to achieve the project quality standards and timescales
*Follow drawings for cutting and drilling details
*Experience of using a Chop Saw for timber cutting
*Experience in routering, pillar drill & general woodwork machinery and hand tools
*Assembling of products
*Ensure all work is carried out to the standards and requirements of the Company’s ISO9001 Quality Management System, including an attitude of continuous improvement
*Assist the Team in implementing Workshop Instructions, ensuring full understanding of the instructions prior to the commencement of the work
*Carry out ongoing quality control throughout all procedures
*Follow correct Workshop and Health and Safety procedures
*Assist in completing paperwork and their timely return to the office
*Assist in keeping the Workshop and Yard in a tidy and safe condition in accordance with Langley Design policies
*Ensure that you have the necessary induction, tools, equipment and H&S documentation for the task
*Following all the requirements of the Langley Health and Safety policies and procedures; contributing to achieving objectives
*Understanding your role within the Langley Quality Management System, aiming to improve performance and achieve objectives
*Carry out any other duties as reasonably required
Skills, Attitude and Behaviour
Essential
Confident to work independently or as part of a small team
A keen eye for detail
Nice to have
Experienced in working from construction drawings
Technical knowledge of furniture construction techniques and woodworking machinery
Hours
7.30am-5pm Monday to Thursday
7.30am - 1pm on Friday
