Job Description:
Douglas Scott are currently working with a top tier firm who are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Defendant Clinical Negligence Associate to join their dynamic team specialising in healthcare litigation. This role offers the chance to work with a leading national healthcare provider in a team known for excellence on the defendant clinical negligence market.
Position: Clinical Negligence Associate
Location: Cardiff - hybrid working
Key Responsibilities: *Manage a diverse caseload of complex clinical negligence claims on behalf of NHS Trusts, healthcare providers, and insurers.
*Conduct thorough case assessments, prepare legal documents, and provide strategic advice to clients throughout the litigation process.
*Attend court hearings, negotiate settlements, and lead case strategy discussions with clients and expert witnesses.
*Work closely with a partner on cases of the utmost severity (to include multi-million-pound matters).
Requirements: *Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 2+ years of experience in clinical negligence, ideally with a focus on defendant work.
*Strong background in managing complex claims, understanding medical records, and advising clients in high-stakes litigation.
*Excellent analytical, organizational, and client communication skills.
*A proactive team player with the ability to manage high-volume caseloads effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
