Job Description:
This is a very exciting and progressive opportunity to join a leading Commercial Explosive Manufacturer in the UK. We are looking for an ExplosivesTechnician which could be known as a MetricsTechnician or someone who is looking to get into this position for their career. This is a multisite role based on various sites in the UK.

This position is a part of the Explosives Engineering Department and reports to the Senior Explosives Engineer. Whilst you’re based in Alfreton there will be extensive travel across all parts of the UK which is an essential requirement of the job.
The Explosives Technician / Metrics Technicianwill be responsible for:
*Assessment, calibration, and repair of company blasting equipment
*Maintenance of equipment database and associated customer database
*Administration of internal and external communications and shipping associated with Engineering / Metrics assets
*Delivery of in field Engineering / Metrics services i.e., drone flights, seismograph installations
*Reporting on asset locations / conditions
*Information provided for invoices
The Explosives Technician / Metrics Technicianwill need to have:
*Diving License
*Willingness to be mobile
*Self-initiative
*Interest in computing / instrumental technology for the job.
Desirables:
*A degree in Chemistry, Mining or Geology.
*Knowledge of explosive equipment
