Salary: £50,901-£55,233 per annum
Job Type: Full – time, permanent (37 hours per week)

Estates Operations Manager - The Role:
Our Estates and Facilities team are looking for you to join them to keep Estates and projects running efficiently. In this role, you will ensure the college estates, assets and support services are fit for purpose, safe, secure and are managed within the agreed budget parameters. You will also effectively manage staff resources to ensure a flexible and responsive service is delivered. You will oversee management of staff and resources across the college to maximise budget capability, manage current and future estates projects and site development.
Estates Operations Manager – Key Responsibilities:
- Manage hard facilities management activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while minimising disruption to the learning and working environment
- Supervise contractors and internal teams to maintain a safe and efficient estate
- Monitor service delivery performance for key contracts, maintain an asset database, and ensure documentation is available for audits
- Prepare strategic reports and updates based on customer feedback surveys
- Oversee budgets and expenditures for facilities management, assist in tendering processes, write specifications, evaluate suppliers, and manage contract appointments to ensure value for money
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance, including fire safety, COSHH, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Lead safety inductions and promote a culture of well-being
- Lead and develop the Estates and Facilities team by setting performance targets, conducting regular reviews, integrating change processes, and promoting sustainability throughout the department
- Support the college’s sustainability goals, including reducing the carbon footprint and preparing data for net-zero reporting. Promote environmental initiatives across the college
- Deputise for the Director of Estates and Facilities, attending meetings and leading on estates matters in their absence. Ensure all policies, procedures, and statutory requirements are met
Estates Operations Manager - You:
- You will need a degree level education or equivalent
- Detailed knowledge of statutory compliance requirements within a commercial built environment
- Detailed knowledge of industry planned preventative maintenance using SFG20 frequencies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Willingness to develop in the role and undertake new challenges
