Purchasing Assistant – Job Description
We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join our team. The role will be varied but the main responsibility of this individual will be to monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers.
Location: Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire
Salary: £23,795-£25,000
Hours: 8.30-5.30pm Monday - Friday
Purchasing Assistant Responsibilities:
*Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
*Research potential vendors.
*Obtain pricing for bespoke / nonstock items.
*Raise purchase orders for both stock and non-stock items.
*Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
*Goods Inwards Process (Physical checking of materials & booking deliveries into the system)
*Physical allocation of product in the warehouse to suit specific customer orders / production batches.
*Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm / change orders / chase delivery of orders.
*Liaise with warehouse staff to make them aware of goods inwards arrival.
*Process warehouse production sheets into the system daily.
*Goods Issuing of orders through the system daily for invoicing purposes.
Required skills:
*Very good attention to detail
*Knowledge on Microsoft Office suite
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Basic IT skills
Desired skills:
*Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
*Experience within a similar role however, training will be provided.
