Elevation Recruitments Skilled Shop Floor Team are currently working on behalf of a Steel forgings and castings Engineering company based in Sheffield to recruit a CNC Machinist.

CNC Machinist
Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Working Hours:  Days & Nights OR 3 Shift Pattern
Salary: £37,000+
Overview of the role of a CNC Machinist:
*Operating and programming CNC machine tools
*Working to complex engineering drawings
*Machining large steel castings and forgings
*Slinging and crane driving, manoeuvring large components to facilitate machining operations
*Use of Continuous Improvement tools such as 6S to maintain standards
Skills & Experience:
*Experience in using both manual and CNC machines
*Extensive experience in CNC Turning / CNC Milling
*Experience in heavy engineering 
*Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings
*Ability to write and understand CNC programs
*Experience of crane driving and slinging is highly desirable
