Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join a highly regarded software platform team based near Newport, South Wales. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure to support their cutting-edge software solutions.
This position requires the successful candidate to live within commuting distance of Newport, South Wales, as there will be some in-office collaboration alongside flexible remote work.
Within this varied role you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software delivery.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and availability.
- Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of DevOps practices.
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery, and incident response processes.
The successful AWS Develops Engineer will have:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in AWS DevOps roles.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPC.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Solid knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
