Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with an 80/20 electrical-mechanical bias to join our clients dedicated engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who is passionate about minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and ensuring smooth manufacturing processes. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving high-speed production machinery
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and rapid fault-finding on both electrical and mechanical systems.
* Work on a variety of machinery, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, sensors, inverters, pneumatics, servo drives, control panels, pumps, compressors, bearings, and shafts.
* Conduct PLC fault-finding and diagnostics.
* Service, test, and repair all site services and facilities equipment.
* Participate in continuous improvement projects, new equipment installations, and modifications.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality policies.
* Manage the inventory of electrical spare parts and components.
* Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers for maintenance and spare parts.
* Perform monthly lighting and site electrical checks.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Experience in electrical engineering with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
* Proven track record working with high-speed manufacturing equipment.
* Methodical and detail-oriented approach to maintenance and repairs.
* Strong adherence to health and safety practices.
* Proactive problem-solver who takes pride in their work.
Additional Requirements:
* Flexibility to work in any department as needed, performing tasks within your capabilities.
* Willingness to respond to emergency breakdowns outside of regular hours, with the option for time in lieu at the manager’s discretion.
Salary & Working Hours:
Up to £45,000 depending on experience
08:00 until 16:00, Monday to Friday
