Job Description:
In Strategy and External Affairs we are responsible for shaping and embedding a strategy which delivers for our customers, communities and the environment. We manage relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators and policy makers, building trust to allow Thames Water to achieve its ambitions.

This is an exciting role with an strong emphasis on regulatory compliance. You will provide expert support and oversight to relevant business functions in the production and provision of both regular and ad hoc reports to Thames Water external regulators.
What you will be doing as Regulatory Reporting Business Partner *Self-educating to become regulatory experts in the areas assigned to them.
*Acting as a proxy for our external regulators, Ofwat, the Environment Agency and Drinking Water Inspectorate, by specifying and providing expert support and advice to business units on what is required to meet Thames Water’s external reporting requirements.
*Assisting in the preparation of regulatory compliance submissions, as necessary
*Interfacing between Thames Water and its external regulators on key matters of regulatory reporting so that overall reporting requirements are clear and met.
*Influencing both, internally and externally, such that regulatory outcomes are aligned with our corporate aims, objectives and transformation plan.
*Partnering with business functions to make sure that relevant price review reporting requirements are adopted to achieve appropriate outcomes.
*Acting as internal ’client’ with relevant business functions to identify and resolve potential issues with ad-hoc and year-end reporting.
*Working with the providers of internal regulatory monthly reporting providers so that ’in-year’ reporting risks are appropriately identified and resolved.
What you should bring to the role *Excellent communication skills – including verbal, written and presenting to a group
*Strong Stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence outcomes.
*Previous relevant experience in a regulated industry.
*Strong Excel and word skills. Sharepoint knowledge a benefit.
*Good prioritisation and organisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
*Quality focused, must be accurate and have attention to detail.
*Can do attitude and strong planning experience with a proven ability in pulling together different workstreams.
What’s in it for you? *Competitive salary - £43,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience
*Annual Leave 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays)
