Description
*Provide legal advice and support on construction matters.
*Negotiate, draft, and review a wide variety of construction and associated contracts.
*Develop and maintain legal risk management procedures within the construction department.
*Coordinate with external counsel as necessary.
*Deliver training on relevant legal issues.
*Maintain awareness of changes in construction law and regulations.
*Act as a trusted legal advisor to the senior management team.
*Participate in the implementation of company-wide legal initiatives.
Profile
A successful Legal Counsel - Construction should have:
*A degree in Law.
*A professional qualification as a Solicitor or Barrister.
*Proven experience in construction law
*Excellent knowledge of contract law, particularly in the context of construction contracts.
*Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
*An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
