Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled R&D / Polishing Technician to join our client. As a R&D / Polishing Technician, you will be responsible for refining and enhancing the surface quality of metal / optical components through various techniques such as polishing, buffing, grinding, and deburring. Your attention to detail and precision will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.
As R&D / Polishing Technician responsibilities include:
* Perform metal finishing operations including polishing, buffing, grinding, and deburring to achieve desired surface quality and finish.
* Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. Using microscopes and metrology equipment.
* Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in a clean and organised manner.
* Collaborate with other team members in R&D to meet production schedules and deadlines.
* Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience Required:
* Proven experience as a Metal Finisher or Surface Treatment or similar role.
* Proficiency in precision mechanical fabrication techniques.
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
