Job Description:
This is a key role where you’ll play a pivotal part in establishing VAT accounting across the group. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll provide critical expertise and guidance to ensure compliance, streamline processes, and maximise VAT recovery opportunities.
Your Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the VAT implementation process, including group registration and compliance.
*Oversee the setup of finance systems, ensuring efficiency and training users where needed.
*Provide expert guidance on VAT treatment, transaction accuracy, and legislative changes.
*Manage VAT returns for the group, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
*Advise on VAT recovery restrictions and identify opportunities for process improvement.
What You’ll Bring:
*Qualified accountant with a strong understanding of VAT, including partial exemptions.
*Proven ability to work under pressure, with exceptional attention to detail.
*Strong Excel skills and experience working with finance systems.
*Excellent time management and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
