Job Description:
Role: - NDT Engineer
Location: -Manchester- but frequent travel around the UK
Hours: -Monday-Friday (odd occasion for weekend work)

Russell Taylor Group have two fantastic opportunities for NDT Engineers to join a testing lab in the Northwest. However, this is a more of a field-based opportunity as you will be expected to frequently travel around the UK, but they are looking for someone that is based in commutable distance from Manchester as you will be required to go to the lab as your base. It is also important to note that there will be some overnight stays around the UK, but this will be infrequent so time away from home is limited.
Responsibilities
• Carrying out a range of NDT inspections for a range of manufacturing and heavy industries around the UK (including Food Production, Breweries, Engineering etc) to ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements as well as client requirements.
• Interpret and evaluate test results
• Conduct equipment inspections and calibrations.
• Collect, collate and report with sketches the result of the examination.
• Work to international standards ensuring they are continually met.
• Present reports with detailed information and maintain all records.
The Person
• Essential to have PCN Level 2 (UT, Dye Pen and MPI)
• Advantageous to have Phased Array, Eddy Current, Forgings, 3.8 or 3.9
• Experience of testing weld geometries would be desirable.
• High level of Health and Safety awareness.
• Ability to think on your feet and be able to hit the ground running.
• Strong communication skills as the role will be client facing.
• Happy to work at heights and within confined spaces.
• Excellent IT skills.
