Job Description:
As a fast-growing company, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team and oversee financial operations to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
*Experience managing a finance team
*Oversee and manage the company’s financial operations, including A/R, A/P, and payroll functions.
*Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting and financial controls.
*Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner.
*Develop budgets and financial forecasts, with ongoing monitoring and variance analysis.
*Lead the preparation for audits, liaising with external auditors as needed.
*Oversee the reconciliation of bank transactions and monitor incoming and outgoing payments.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational objectives.
*Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and reporting.
*Manage the financial system in CargoWise One and ensure effective use across the team.
*Proactively improve financial processes and implement best practices.
*Monitor shared inboxes for financial queries and assist in responding as needed.
*Provide leadership and support to the finance team in day-to-day operations and ad-hoc tasks.
*Able to put in place accuracy of cost capture, cost allocation and cost control.
*Proficient in management of debtors and creditors.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
*Proven experience as a Finance Manager
*Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting software such as Sage. Big Change experience desirable.
*Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
*Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
*Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
*Ability to drive process improvements and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
