We bring together mobile operators, central and local government, and real estate providers to work together in new ways using: Collaborative commercial models, combined real-estate and telecoms know-how, and global best practice.
We have 6000+ mast site locations, have connected 2000+ buildings and support 200+ outdoor networks. And our managed sites include some of the biggest, most challenging wireless environments in the UK, including railway stations, Canary Wharf, City of London and events like the London Olympics.
The Role
We have two exciting roles available for Network Engineering Apprentices here at Freshwave. This will be a 2-year programme where you will gain the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours to become an expert in network planning, installation and maintenance. Throughout the programme you will learn how to:
*Install, configure, and test appropriate network components
*Acquire and analyse network performance data to monitor network activity
*Optimise and maintain the performance of network systems
*Investigate and problem solve network issues
*Undertake upgrades to a network infrastructure
*Manage risks and health and safety
*Ensure all network engineering activity complies policies and standards
Requirements
About You
*Passionate and interested in Network Engineering
*Desirable qualifications: *an A-Level in ICT
*OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 ICT
*OR an A-Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
*OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT Excellent communication skills
*Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office
*Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
*Excellent planning and organising skills
*Face-to-face working in an office-based environment experience desirable
