Job Description:
Our professional client is looking for an Account Assistant to join their team in Guildford. This office-based role involves processing client-related transactions promptly and ensuring the company complies with regulations regarding the handling of client funds.

Key Responsibilities:
*Managing and recording prepayments and accruals accurately in the accounts.
*Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register to ensure all assets are properly accounted for.
*Assisting with the preparation and posting of month-end journals.
*Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
*Assisting with WIP and debt reviews to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
*Providing assistance during the annual audit process by preparing required documentation and liaising with auditors.
*Ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and employee expenses.
*Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
*Managing supplier payment runs and handling ad-hoc payments as required.
*Responding to and resolving internal and external finance-related queries in a timely manner.
Experience and Skills Requirements
*Must have 1-2 years’ experience of working in an accounts department
*Fast learner who adapts easily.
*Strong communication skills.
*Flexible attitude
*Exceptional attention to detail.
*Effective team player.
*Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.
*Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
*Demonstrates professionalism.
