A leading provider of advanced spray finishing services for joinery and furniture is seeking a dynamic Production Manager to oversee operations at its state-of-the-art facility. The Role:
This position holds full accountability for production operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership:
*Lead and motivate the production team.
*Manage recruitment, training, appraisals, and staff development.

* Operations Management:
*Plan, monitor, and deliver the production schedule.
*Oversee health, safety, and environmental standards in the workshop.
*Ensure exceptional quality through robust control procedures.

* Client and Project Management:
*Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
*Handle estimation and work-winning activities.

* Facility Management:
*Maintain and improve workshop equipment and processes.
*Oversee housekeeping and storage systems.

* Product Delivery:
*Develop innovative product finishes and ensure all samples meet required specifications.
*Operate automated spray lines and contribute to spray finishing when required.

* Financial Accountability:
*Deliver projects in line with financial targets and margins.
*Produce detailed cost analyses and contribute to cash flow and P&L reviews.

Required Skills and Experience:
*Proven leadership and organizational skills.
*Minimum 10 years? experience in spray finishing of timber products.
*Expertise in water-based paints, PU finishes, high-gloss finishing, and burnishing.
*Familiarity with automated spray lines (preferred but not essential).
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
*Knowledge of health and safety protocols.
*Basic computer literacy (preferred).
Ongoing Tasks:
*Monitor emails and tasks using project management software.
*Update workshop schedules and conduct quality checks.
*Manage stock control and material orders.
*Deliver regular KPI reports and monthly summaries to senior management.
*Conduct equipment inspections and ensure efficient workshop operation.
*Handle estimating, invoicing, and reporting.
