Are you a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a passion for making a difference? Here at Academics, we’re looking for a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dynamic alternative provision in Worksop. This position involves working with primary-aged pupils who require additional support to engage with learning, encouraging positive development and engagement. With a full-time, long-term contract, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact and to work with students who need it the most.
About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you’ll be guiding pupils in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, ensuring each student is supported and engaged during school hours. You’ll be working from 9:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday - a unique schedule designed to offer balanced support for both pupils and staff.
Why Choose Academics?
Academics is not just another agency. We understand the value of education because all consultants in our Doncaster branch are former teachers. This means our consultants have hands-on experience in the classroom and understand the needs of both schools and candidates, making us an agency that schools across the region trust. In fact, most of the schools we work with choose to partner with Academics exclusively.
Currently, we’re seeing an increased demand for learning support staff in the area, so if this Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) position doesn’t fit your exact needs, we’d still love to hear from you. We work with a variety of schools and can find you a role that matches your availability, whether it’s a short-term, long-term, or day-to-day position. Our aim is to ensure that every candidate finds their ideal placement.
The Ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):
*Experience working with primary-aged pupils, especially in an alternative provision or special educational needs setting
*Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
*Confidence in working with small groups and providing one-to-one support
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
What’s in It for You?
*A supportive and knowledgeable team of ex-teachers who understand the ins and outs of the classroom
*PAYE payment structure, so you take home 100% of your daily rate with no hidden fees
*Flexibility to choose assignments that suit your needs and career goals
*Exclusive relationships with a large network of schools, meaning you’ll have access to opportunities not available elsewhere
If you’re ready to make a real difference as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Worksop, please apply now. Even if you’re not certain this role is perfect for you, reach out to us - with a variety of contracts available, we’re confident we can find a position that fits.
